About me

Hi, I’m Anna and I live near Birmingham with the rest of the Whitehouse family and a black curly cockapoo, who keeps my feet toasty as I type.

I fell in love with writing at the age of five, when the headmaster read a story I’d written  to the entire school. Words have been my passion ever since and I’ve used them to teach dyslexic students, perform plays and write magazine articles.

Having penned some articles for print magazines when my daughter was little, I decided to follow my dream and train as a copywriter. My first paid work was with digital marketing agency Alban Digital, who asked me to write blog posts for a number of their clients including dotcomgiftshop, Samuel Windsor,  Waltons and Fishtec.

Once I’d gained plenty of experience I decided it was time to find my own clients, so The Writehouse was established. Since then, I’ve been writing blogs and case studies for small local businesses, national organisations and international companies.

Fancy a peek at my print articles? You can see them in magazines including Woman Alive and Families Together. I’m also an award-winning wedding poet.

“Annette has asked me to pass on her thanks and appreciation; she’s really happy with the blogs that you’ve been producing for us and is enjoying reading them. She especially liked the latest one – I believe the word used was fab! ”
